Take One: Photos

Figure Fierce girls! What a great time I had I must say!!! My very first photo shoot of my life with Jackie from saucyimages.com was a complete success! I couldnt of imagined it being any better. The lights were great, the outfits were sexy and fun and the makeup was spectacular! Jackie really hooked it up. Hopefully this will get the ball rolling with Figure Fierce.

While shooting the pictures, we really kept in mind what we wanted Figure Fierce to represent. Just because a girl who is "plus size" doesnt mean she should shy away from the lime light. A figure fierce girl is someone who is going to take charge and be bold. A woman who carries herself with confince and respect. Figure fierce is an attitude, not just a look.

Getting closer to the shoot..........

Hey everyone! Its Ashleigh. Today I am thinking about what to wear for the photo shoot on Monday. Jackie, (executive photographer of our new magazine FigureFierce) will be shooting me in her studio at ten in the morning. I am going to have to work on my beauty sleep! Her good friend Melissa will be doing my make up and hair. I am very excited to be treated like a princess!! Besides always wanting to create a plus-size fashion magazine, I have always wanted to be a plus size model. So this shoot is making a big dream come true! Even if I just get an awesome portfolio out of it.

I only have 6 days (5 tomorrow) and I still dont know what exactly to wear. If I had money for a new wardrobe I would be set, however, I do not. I have to find a few looks in the haystack of clothes I have already. bummer :(. However, I am trying to remain hopeful because I have a few friends and a wonderful sister that will be helping me put some looks together.

Jackie told me we will put together a few head shots as well as some body shots. Her studio is pretty awesome, although I have only been there once I did notice the wide range of props she has. She also mentioned she had different shoes and wigs I can try on. Again, this is so exciting for me!

This shoot means a lot to me because it is the first "test" shooting Jackie and I will be doing for Figure Fierce. If all goes well, we will use my pictures as a jump-off point for more photo shoots and feature arcitles for the magazine. More details to come.........................
